Adrian College volleyball dropped a 3-1 decision in their season-opener on Friday at Capital. The Bulldogs lost the first two sets of their match against the Crusaders before winning the third set. The final scores were 21-25, 15-25, 27-25 and 22-25.
Courtney Sellers led the Bulldogs with 10 kills which is a career-high. She also had three service aces and seven digs for the match. Adrian held a 9-8 advantage in service aces as Samantha Mercy and Stephanie Asmus had three aces apiece.
Natalie Niblock led the Bulldogs with nine digs and 27 assists. Holly Pellegrin added seven kills and four block assists. Adrian hit .116 for the match and outblocked Capital 11.5 to seven for the match.
