The Adrian College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at Albion on Thursday night and in the process moves to 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the MIAA. The Bulldogs were looking to snap a five-match skid coming into tonight and after falling 25-20 in set one had a 24-20 lead in set two but the Britons stormed back to win 29-27.
Adrian got the best of Albion in the third set winning 26-24 but could not sustain their momentum into the fourth set falling 25-12. Jenny Carlson led all players with 17 kills and recorded a .245 attack percentage. Samantha Mercy tallied 20 digs in the back row.
Valerie Smith added eight kills and four digs for Adrian. The Bulldogs recorded a .123 attack percentage while Albion hit .267 for the match.
