The women's lacrosse team has put together three straight easy wins after a 22-2 win on Saturday afternoon at North Central College. The Cardinals were playing in their first game as a varsity Division III program and the Bulldogs did not let that stop them from posting a huge win.
Rachel Johnston had five goals and an assist to lead Adrian's offensive attack. She scored 13 seconds into the game and totaled four of her goals in the first half. Adrian led 15-1 at halftime as Amy Frazzini scored the first goal in program history for North Central at the 22:37 mark.
Amanda Lambert added a hat trick on four shots and also had two ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers. Mariana DiGiovanni added three goals and an assist on three shots. Lindsey Day had six shots and scored twice while also collecting two assists with five draw controls. Meghan Reynolds and Elizabeth Schilling each scored twice and Amy Merson also had three goals in her defensive role. Adrian tallied 38 shots and limited North Central to seven.
Laura Finfrock and Meghan Smerecki each played 30 minutes in goal and made two saves apiece. Adrian (3-2) will play in their home opener on Tuesday, March 17 against Wittenberg beginning at 6:00 pm.
