Final Stats
ADRIAN, Mich. -
The Adrian College women's lacrosse team lost to the College of Wooster on Saturday afternoon by the final score of 15-10. The Bulldogs faced an 11-2 halftime deficit, but managed to outscore the Fighting Scots 8-4 in the second half.
Wooster dominated the first half of the game. Jovelle Ward gave Adrian a 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the game, but the Fighting Scots scored the next seven goals to open up a comfortable lead. Mariana DiGiovanni scored the second goal of the game for Adrian in the first half with 3:47 left to play.
Adrian got off to a good start in the second half. The Bulldogs scored four of the first five goals to cut the lead to 11-5. The College of Wooster held onto the lead and defeated Adrian 15-10.
Rachel Johnston scored three goals in the second half to earn a hat trick. Lindsey Day scored the last two goals of the game for Adrian with less than two mintues on the game clock. Amanda Lambert and Andrea Soloko each had a goal to round out the offensive scoring.
