Box Score ALMA, Mich. – After winning three out of
four conference matches earlier in the season, the Adrian College
volleyball team has now dropped four in a row as they fell to Alma
College on Wednesday in straight sets (17-25, 13-25, 18-25). The
Bulldogs record is now 9-12 on the season as they sit in a tie for
sixth in the MIAA with a record of 3-8.
The Bulldogs struggled to get anything going offensively as they
were held to 17 kills on the night. Senior Rebecca
Tincknell led the team with eight kills while getting three
digs. Freshman Elise Mindick was
second on the team with three kills. Fellow freshman Ashley VanHouten
contributed with two kills to go along with a match-high five
blocks.
The defense was led by senior Jamie Taylor who had
a match-high 22 digs, while junior Roxanne Duran added
in 12. Senior Katie MacFarlan
led the Bulldogs with seven assists.
The Bulldogs will travel to Defiance College on Saturday,
October 16 beginning at 11:00 a.m. to compete in a tri-match with
the host team and Hanover College.
