ASHLAND, Wis. - The men's hockey team completed the weekend sweep at Northland on Saturday (Nov. 13) with a 4-2 win improving to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in the MCHA. Northland for the second day took a 1-0 lead with an even strength goal at 8:09 of the first period. Chad Moore scored with an assist to Nick Hewko.
Adrian tied the game at 1-1 after the first period as Shawn Skelly scored at even strength at 17:49 with an assist to Zach Graham. Eric Miller gave Adrian a 2-1 lead at 6:07 of the second period at even strength with assists going to Skelly and Josh Cousineau.
Northland tied the game at 2-2 at 9:19 as Kraig Wright scored with an assist from Mike Lennon. Graham scored the game-winning goal at 15:28 on the power play with assists from Skelly and Miller as Adrian took a 3-2 lead into the final period.
Graham made it a three-point night at even strength unassisted at 5:08 of the third period to make the final score 4-2 in favor of Adrian. Adrian is now 10-0 all-time against Northland. Brad Fogal made 22 saves in 50:25 of ice time in net gaining the win. Jeremy Cross played the final 9:35 and made seven saves without allowing a goal. Adrian outshot Northland, 40-31, but were outshot 12-5 in the third period. Adrian went 1-of-4 on the power play while Northland went 0-of-3.
