Final Stats
ALMA, Mich. -
The Adrian College men's basketball team went on the road and recorded a 54-51 win against Alma College on Saturday afternoon. Defense has clearly been a factor in the four game winning streak, as the Bulldogs are holding opponents to 50 points per game.
Joseph Kopicki led the Bulldogs by scoring a career-high 16 points against Alma. Kopicki impacted the game off the bench by also adding five rebounds and three steals. Jovon Mosley also played well for AC. Mosley recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bulldogs led 28-26 at halftime, and edged the Scots by one point in the second half to earn the win. One clear component to the victory against Alma came from the bench. Adrian's bench outscored Alma's 29-13. Kopicki contributed a majority of the points to that total, and Wesley Reed did his part by scoring nine points in just 10 minutes of action.
Adrian now stands at 12-9 overall with a 7-3 MIAA record. They face a challenging schedule down the stretch with home contests against Calvin and Hope. Their final two road games of the year are at Olivet on February 13th and the season finale against Albion on February 20th. The team is one game out of first place in the MIAA standings behind Calvin and Hope.
