Bulldogs Cruise to Pair of Wins at Performance Stadium

ADRIAN, Mich. - It was all Bulldogs for the second straight Saturday in a doubleheader format as they improved to 10-2 overall and won their ninth straight game in the evening contest against Albion.

Adrian defeated North Central, 20-3, in the afternoon contest at Performance Stadium in less than average temperatures. The Bulldogs led 11-2 at the break and jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the game's first two minutes. After North Central's Amy Frazzini got a goal on a free-position shot with 24:12 left, Adrian scored the next eight goals heading into intermission.

AC scored the first three goals in the second half in a span of less than seven minutes before NC scored their third goal of the game with 21:40 left. The Bulldogs had a total of 42 shots including 33 shots on goal. AC had 13 of their 20 goals with an assist in the first game. Amanda Lambert scored seven goals and added four assists for a season-high 11 points. She upped her season goal total to 37. Rachel Johnston added five goals and an assist. She sat at 41 goals this season through the day's first game. Lindsey Day also had three goals and two assists for the Bulldogs.

Laura Finfrock and Amanda Faraone each played a half with Finfrock making one save and Faraone making three saves.

Adrian played to a 25-2 win over Albion in the evening contest. The Bulldogs led 20-2 at the break and held the Britons off the board in the second half. Johnston scored seven times and added three assists in the Albion game. She ended the day with 48 goals on the year. Lambert scored six times and pushed her goal total to 43.

Stacey Birlson recorded four goals and four assists. Mariana DiGiovanni and Day each had two goals and two assists for the second game. Adrian had 30 shots on goal and caused 16 turnovers.
