Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Adrian College
volleyball team was unable to overcome a first set loss to
Kalamazoo as they fell in straight sets 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-17).
With the loss the Bulldogs fall to 2-5 on the year and 0-2 in the
MIAA conference.
The Bulldogs tried to hang in with the Hornets as they were out
attacked by only two kills in each of the three sets (12-10, 13-11,
14-12). Adrian led early in the second set, but Kalamazoo rallied
late to take the set.
Senior Rebecca
Tincknell had a match-high 14 kills to go along with seven digs
and a team-high three blocks. Sophomore Kelly
MacDonald was second on the team with six kills and added in
six digs. Freshman Kristi
Walker, the team's leader in digs on the season, added to her
total with a match-high 21. Junior Roxanne
Duran contributed on offense and defense with three kills and
12 digs. Junior Joanna
Slisinger and sophomore Kristy
DeClercq combined for 24 assists. DeClercq added in a
match-high three service aces.
The Volleyball team's next game will be at home on Saturday,
September 11 at 1:00 pm against MIAA opponent Alma.
