Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Adrian College
men's soccer team got their first win of the season, defeating St.
John Fisher 2-1. Cazz Warren scored
two goals in the win. With the win, the Bulldogs placed second in
the Flower City Classic with a 1-1 record.
Warren, a sophomore and last season's scoring leader, scored the
first goal of the game from 10 yards out on a breakaway at 35:50 on
a pass from fellow sophomore Aaron
Armstrong.
The Cardinals scored the equalizer at 78:50 on a goal by Justin
Brown.
The game winning goal was scored by Warren at 87:17. Sophomore
Billy
Cremeans played an 35-yard pass up-field. Warren hesitated, and
then darted past the last Fisher defender to secure the pass. He
ran in for a 1 on 1 against the Fisher goalkeeper. Warren slotted
the ball past him into the low right corner to win it for
Adrian.
Adrian goalkeeper senior Alex Pavlika made
seven saves for the game.
The Bulldogs had 15 shots in the game including three from
Warren and Armstrong, and two by sophomore Jamie Brower and
freshman Morgan Copeland
and Marcus
Derrick-Huie.
Warren was named the Best Offensive Player of the Flower City
Classic.
