Box Score DETROIT, Mich. – Division I sophomore transfer Richaud Pack made his Bulldog debut in style leading all scores with a career-high 24 points guiding the Adrian College men's basketball team to a 76-62 win over non-conference foe Marygrove College tonight (Dec. 22).
After the fifth tie in the first half, the Bulldogs (6-3) took a 22-20 lead with 7:31 left when junior Sean Gallant scored off a Mustangs' (6-10) turnover. Adrian would stay ahead for the duration of the half and would be on top 34-29 at intermission.
The Bulldogs continued its offensive surge in the second half and took control at the 8:27 mark when they mustered a 12-2 run that was topped off by a Pack three-pointer (junior Delano Collins earned the assist). This gave Adrian its largest lead of the game, 66-50.
Following Pack's 24-point performance, Gallant added 21. Rounding out the double-digit scores for Adrian was junior Brad Whitby with 12 points.
On the board, freshman Eric Lewis led the Bulldogs with a career-high 11 boards. Collins and Gallant also made an impact on the glass with eight a piece. This marked Collins' career-high. Pack also added seven rebounds.
For the game, Adrian out-shot Marygrove 41% to 35%. The Bulldogs also out-rebounded the Mustangs 52-37, marking a team-season-high.
Adrian hits the road for one more game before opening conference play on January 4 as they face Millikin on December 29 at 3:00 p.m.
