FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its All-MIAA men's basketball teams on Friday morning. Following a No. 6 seed finish in the MIAA Tournament, the Adrian College men's basketball team saw Darrius Welch earn All-MIAA Second Team honors.

Welch led the Bulldogs during the regular season, averaging 32.4 minutes per game while shooting 44.6% from the field. He paced the team with 15.2 points per game and added 6.3 rebounds per contest. Welch also filled the stat sheet with 47 assists, 47 steals, and 26 blocks on the year.

In conference play, Welch elevated his performance, averaging 34.3 minutes per game and shooting 45.0% from the floor. He posted 17.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game against MIAA opponents, while totaling 23 assists, 29 steals, and 14 blocked shots.

His top conference performance came in February against Kalamazoo, where he recorded a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Welch becomes the 76th All-MIAA selection in Adrian College men's basketball program history, a tradition that dates back to 1950.
