Women's Lacrosse Records First Shutout in School History

MEQUON, Wis. - Adrian outshot Concordia, 27-3, including a 22-0 advantage in shots on goal on Sunday morning propelling them to a 20-0 victory over the first-year program. It was the first shutout in school history for the Bulldogs as they moved to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in the MWLC.

Adrian also held a 14-6 edge in ground balls and a 18-4 edge in draw controls. Rachel Johnston led the team with four goals and added two assists. She took six shots with five shots on goal and also had four draw controls. Lindsey Day recorded three goals and three assists with four total shots and three shots on goal. Amanda Lambert added three goals and one assist with three shots on goal. She also had two caused turnovers and one draw control.

Jul Tehovnik and Amanda Faraone each played 30 minutes in net with Tehovnik getting the win despite not facing a single shot on goal. Heather Newblom also added a season-high three goals and one assist. She also had two ground balls, two draw contols and one caused turnover.

Adrian led 13-0 at intermission and then tacked on seven more goals in the second half. Eight of Adrian's 20 goals were unassisted.
