Women's Lacrosse Honors Seniors with 23-1 Win over Mount St. Joseph

ADRIAN, Mich. - The weekend came to a close and the women's lacrosse team picked up its third win in three days with a 23-1 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Senior Day at Performance Stadium.

Mariana DiGiovanni, Andrea Soloko and Amanda Faraone all played in their final regular season home game and are members of the first four-year class for Adrian College women's lacrosse. DiGiovanni has been a four-year member of the team and led the team in goals as a freshman. She had three goals and two assists on Sunday and also picked up three ground balls and two draw controls.

Soloko is solely participating in lacrosse for the first time in her career after playing ice hockey for the first three years at Adrian College. Soloko came off the bench against the Lions and had an assist to go with two ground balls. Faraone entered the game at the 24:39 mark of the first half with Adrian leading 6-0 and finished the game out in net playing 54:39 to get the win. She did make one save on the afternoon.

Stacey Birlson ended the game with a goal and five assists. Lindsey Day recorded a goal and three assists. Olivia Duncan registered three goals and one assist. Rachel Johnston had three goals pushing her season total to 54. Amanda Lambert had a team-high six goals and two assists for eight points. She also had four ground balls and five draw controls. She now has 41 goals this season.

Katrina Rabishaw scored her first goal of the season in the second half. Meghan Reynolds had two goals and an assist off the bench. Heather Newblom and Maddie Dugan also scored off the bench for the Bulldogs.
