ELMHURST, Ill. - In its season opener, the Adrian College volleyball team dropped to Capital University (3-0) and the University of Chicago (3-0) in day one of the Elmhurst Invitational. The two-day event is hosted by Elmhurst College.

In the earlier game, the Lady Bulldogs fell 25-11, 25-15, 25-13 to Capital, followed by a 25-21, 25-19, 25-15 defeat to Chicago.

Adrian is back in action tomorrow to face Dominican University at 10am, followed by a 12pm match with John Carroll University to finish the tourney.
