Box Score ALMA, Mich. - The Bulldog men's basketball team dropped a game at Alma, 74-68, after fighting their way back from a second half deficit on Wednesday, Jan. 18. With 3:47 left in the game, Alma had a 12-point lead that was quickly diminished by a 10-0 Adrian run in the next minute and a half. This would be the closest the Bulldogs, who trailed the entire game, would come as the loss drops them to 10-5 (3-2 MIAA).
Alma earned their first MIAA conference win due to a strong performance shooting the basketball despite turning the ball over 16 times, compared to Adrian's 11 turnovers. The Scots shot 55 percent from the field, including 9-of-15 from three-point range.
Junior Brad Whitby had a season-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Sophomore Richaud Pack also added 19, going 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Junior Sean Gallant added 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Bulldogs will have to bounce back quickly as they travel to Kalamazoo on Saturday. The Hornets come into the matchup losers of three straight with a record of 6-10 (1-4 MIAA). Tip-off is set for 3:00 P.M.
