Box Score Junior Brad Whitby had 15 points while freshman Adam Meier had a career-high 13 rebounds as the Bulldog Men's basketball team survived a road test at Kalamazoo, 56-45. With the win, Adrian improves to 11-5 (4-2 MIAA) which is good enough to tie with Trine for second in the conference.
The Bulldogs were in control of the game from the beginning as sophomore Richaud Pack hit a three-pointer with four seconds left in the first half to give himself eight first half points, and Adrian a 27-21 lead going into the locker room. Whitby finished the half with nine points.
Junior Delano Collins helped carry the Bulldogs, scoring six points and dishing out five assists. Adrian out-rebounded Kalamazoo 39-26 with Meier getting a bulk of those boards, and nine of them being offensive rebounds.
The men will hit the court again this upcoming Wednesday as Albion will travel to the Merillat Gymnasium to take on the Bulldogs, which look to improve on their MIAA Conference record. The Britons will come into the game with a record of 7-10 (3-3 MIAA). Tip-off is set for 8:00 P.M.
