ASHLAND, Wis. – The Adrian College men's hockey squad poured it on Saturday afternoon with a 12-1 win over Northland College at the Bay Area Civic Center. Adrian improved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association by scoring 10-plus goals in a game for the first time since November 4, 2011. The Bulldogs are now also 14-0 against the LumberJacks.

Sophomore Shelby Gray notched his first career hat trick and also added an assist for a four-point day. The Inermay, Saskatchewan native set a new career-high for points and helped the Bulldogs get things going in a big way. Gray scored the third, fifth and 10th goals for Adrian including one in each period.

Adrian now looks ahead to a two-game set at Arrington Ice Arena next weekend (Nov. 9-10) against rival Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The Raiders ended Adrian's run of four straight MCHA Harris Cups a year ago. MSOE (3-1) lost 4-3 at Finlandia this afternoon in other MCHA action.
