Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs met the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup. Adrian looked to continue their momentum from a Wednesday night victory over Concordia (Mich.) with their second win in a row. The first half remained close, but the Bulldogs wore down Lawrence Tech in the second half as they pulled away to a lead of 22 and won the contest 60-42. This win advances Adrian to 3-6 on the season and 2-2 at home.
The first half was played evenly as the teams traded the lead twice and tied the score three times. The Bulldogs managed to take four points late in the half at walk into the break with a 24-20 advantage.
The second half remained close through the first 12 minutes of gameplay until Adrian opened the game up with an 8-0 run over two minutes of the game to stretch the lead 50-36 with 6:04 left in the game. The run was followed immediately by a 10-0 run over 2:26 of the game to put the lead at 60-38 with just under three minutes left to play. The Blue Devils managed to score the final four points of the game but Adrian cruised to its third win of the season 60-42.
Wesley Reed led the Bulldogs with 16 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Rickey Jackson added nine points and both Curtis Gordon and Earl Swift came off of the bench to tally seven points.
Adrian forced the Blue Devils into 25 turnovers while they just game up 10. The Bulldogs also out-rebounded Lawrence Tech 27-25 and recorded 18 points off of the bench to just 10 from the Blue Devils.
The Bulldogs will play next in the "M" Club Classic on December 28 when Adrian takes on the Raiders at 7 p.m.
