ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs hosted the Tartans of Carnegie Mellon University Saturday afternoon in a non- conference matchup. The Bulldogs were not able to gain control of the game as they failed to ever take the lead and fell 70-44. This loss drops Adrian to 1-6 on the season and 1-2 on their home floor.

The first half started with two separate six point runs by the Tartans over the first 11:15 of the game as they took the lead 12-3. This was followed late by another five point run over the last two minutes of the half and Carnegie Mellon led Adrian at the break, 29-16.

The Bulldogs could not fight back into a single digit deficit despite going on a 5-0 run in the first 10 minutes of the half. They fought hard, but the Tartans seemed to always answer back and Carnegie Mellon won the half, 41-28 and the game 70-44.

Rickey Jackson led the Bulldogs with 22 points, five rebounds, two steals, and one block.

The Bulldogs will hold their Alumni game in the Merillat Gymnasium on Sunday, December 15 at 4 p.m. The team will be back in action on December 18 when they travel to Concordia (Mich.) at 7 p.m.
