Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.- Homecoming weekend has arrived for Adrian College, but the Flying Dutch of Hope College decided to spoil the Bulldogs' home match. Hope came in ranked second in the nation, and displayed exactly why they received that ranking taking Adrian down 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.
The Flying Dutch came in attacking the Bulldogs a total of 103 times in the three set match. Hope College started off the match hot taking the first set 25-10. The Bulldogs fought back in the second set tying the set three times before Hope pulled away to a 25-14 victory. Hope then started the third set with sloppy play making seven errors which gave the Bulldogs the best chance to get back into the match, but the Flying Dutch were able to secure the victory 25-17.
Adrian College fought this aggressive offensive play off nicely, led by senior libero Kristi Walker's nine digs. Jordan brisson also fought hard to keep Adrian College in the match offensively as she totaled eight kills and Carly Tyson contributed with a team high 10 assists.
Adrian College will play next at #1 Calvin on Wednesday, September 25th at 6:30 p.m.
