Box Score HOLLAND, Mich. – The Bulldogs traveled to Hope College Wednesday night to face the Flying Dutchmen. Adrian fell into a 15-point first half deficit to which it could never recover as Hope dropped the Bulldogs, 82-56. The loss leaves Adrian at 4-14 on the season and 0-7 in the MIAA.
The first half saw the Bulldogs grab the lead early, 7-6, after 2:02 of the game. The Bulldogs carried this lead for the next 4:43 of the game and increased their margin to as many as six. The Flying Dutchmen took over with 12:23 left in the half and despite tying the game once more, Adrian was never able to regain the lead as they trailed at the break, 37-22.
The second 20 minutes was all Flying Dutchmen as the Bulldogs never climbed within single digits of Hope. The Bulldogs battled hard as they played a straight up half by trading baskets. The Bulldogs were never able to put a run together as Hope answered all of the Bulldogs' baskets and Adrian fell, 82-56.
Ben Rodak led Adrian with 19 points and seven rebounds. Curtis Gordon tallied 12 points and Wesley Reed added 11 points.
The Bulldogs will see action again Saturday, Feb. 1 when they travel to play Olivet College at 5 p.m.
