Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team came out of the gates on fire on Saturday (Nov. 29) against visiting Franklin. The Bulldogs scored 14 of the first 17 points in the contest to lead 14-3 after a Curtis Gordon triple. The Bulldogs connected on 17 of their first 20 shots from the field and built a 31-8 lead with 12:26 left in the half. Adrian did not let up as their defense led to 14 fast-break points in the opening 20 minutes. Adrian built their lead to 43-12 with 9:01 left in the half after a fast-break jumper by Eric Lewis. The Bulldogs led by as many as 39 points with 2:57 to play in the first half after a Jamison Webster jumper and led 63-29 at halftime. Adrian had 32 of their 63 points in the paint and scored 20 points off turnovers by Franklin.
Franklin would outscore Adrian, 37-35, in the second half as the Bulldogs cooled off to shoot 37.5 percent in the final 20 minutes. The Bulldogs had built such a big lead in the first half that they still scored 98 points, which was their highest total since December 30, 2009 in a 103-point effort against OSU-Lima.
Jamison Webster set season-highs with 10 points and five assists. Rickey Jackson, Jr. led all scorers with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting in 23 minutes. Curtis Gordon scored all 12 of his points in the first half and connected on 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Eric Lewis had 15 points, five steals, four rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes. Ben Rodak came off the bench to score 12 points and grab seven rebounds. He also tied for the team lead with five assists. Earl Swift needed just 14 minutes to score nine points and grab three boards.
