ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs took on the Scots of Alma College Wednesday night. The two teams met earlier this season when they Scots got the best of Adrian in a 90-80 decision on January 27 in Alma, Michigan. Wednesday night's contest saw the Scots jump out to a 18 point first half lead. The Bulldogs battled back to within two points in the second half, but Alma hung out for the victory, 71-60. This loss drops Adrian to 5-19 on the season and 1-12 in the MIAA.

The first half saw Alma take control of the game as the Scots jump out to an 18 point lead as Alma took an 8-0 run that ended with 1:05 left in the half to leave the Bulldogs looking up at a 43-25 first half deficit.

The second half saw the Bulldogs battle their way back into the game. Adrian went on a 22-6 run over the first 9:53 of the half as they cut the Alma lead to 49-47 with 10:03 remaining. The remainder of the game saw the teams trade baskets as the Scots were able to prevent the Bulldogs from tying the score or taking the lead. Alma was able to slowly pull ahead as they made their free throws down the stretch on their way to a 71-60 victory.

Ben Rodak led Adrian with 13 points and eight rebounds. Rickey Jackson added 13 points and four steals. Curtis Gordon knocked down 12 points and Earl Swift tallied 11 points and five rebounds.

The Bulldogs will have their final game of 2013-14 on Saturday, February 22 when they host Hope College for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
