The Adrian College ACHA Women's Hockey team broke open a close hockey game with three, third period goals on Saturday, as the Bulldogs downed Penn State 4-0 to push their record to 7-2-0 on the season.

The Bulldogs clearly dominated play outshooting the Nittany Lions 39-10, but thanks to the stalwart play of Amiee Little in the Penn State goal, Adrian lead just 1-0 after two periods on a goal by junior forward Jessie Rushing.

But in the third period the Bulldogs put the game away with goals from freshman forwards Nicole Paradis, Kaillie Hardy and Sam Fortune.  Adding to the Bulldogs offensive effort was freshman defender Micayla Salyn, who recorded three assists, while the Bulldogs got single helpers from senior forward Nichole LaFlamme and junior defender Jessica Fabbro.

Sophomore goaltender Allison Dungey turned aside 10 shots to earn her second straight shutout.
