ANGOLA, Ind. – The Adrian College men's basketball team suffered its second straight setback, falling to Millikin 62-57 in the final day of the Trine Classic.  The score stayed fairly close throughout the game with each team trading leads causing 15 lead changes.

The teams exchanged leads throughout the first half with the largest lead being seven points by the Big Blue before the Bulldogs would cut the lead and end the half with a tie at 29.

The second half went much the same as the first half with the largest lead being seven points by Millikin. They were able to hold the slim lead through the final portion of the half and ended with the five point victory.

DaVonte Harris led Adrian in points, 15, for the second straight game. Christian Covile also played well, contributing 14 points. Travon Johnson also scored double digit points, 11, for the Bulldogs.

Anthony Cannon led the team with six rebounds to help Adrian edge Millikin 32-27 in total rebounds. The Big Blue edged the Bulldogs, going 22-44 (50%) from the floor, 12-18 (66.7%) from the three point line and 6-8 (75%) from the free throw line. Adrian shot 41.5% (22-53) from the floor, 41.2% (7-17) from the three point line and 60% (6-10) from the charity stripe.

The season continues for the Bulldogs when they hit the road to face Mich.-Dearborn on Wednesday, December 30. The opening tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
