ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's lacrosse team took on Saint Mary's College Friday afternoon in their second MIAA game of the season. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Belles would battle back and tie the game. Saint Mary's would outlast Adrian in a game that saw the score tied six times as they tallied four of the final five goals to take out the Bulldogs, 13-9.

Adrian would take a three-goal lead eight minutes into the game as Michelle Sandlin scored twice and Alex Branum tallied one. The Bulldogs would then surrender four straight goals as Saint Mary's scored six in the first half to take a 6-5 lead at the break. Branum would score her second of the game and Mariesa Johnson scored her first career goal to keep Adrian one goal behind the Belles.

The Bulldogs would open the second half with three of the first four goals to regain the lead at 8-7. Mackenzie Wilcox tied the game 2:30 into the half while Annika Nuler and Sandlin followed with goals to give Adrian the one-goal edge. Saint Mary's would respond to score the next five goals to gain control of the game. Branum would score her third of the game and goalkeeper Alison Dungey made her presence felt in the net by making 13 saves while recording seven ground balls. The Belles maintained their advantage to take the game, 13-9, and dropped Adrian to 0-6 overall with an 0-2 mark in the MIAA.
