Adrian, Mich. – The Adrian College Bulldogs women's volleyball team earned the victory over the visiting Albion Britons in five sets (26-24, 19-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-11). Three Bulldogs led the offensive attack: Freshman Olivia Welch (16 kills), junior Sydney Martines (15 kills) and senior Jordan Brisson (15 kills).

Welch and Brisson both contributed defensively as well, recording 15 and 18 digs respectively. Senior Rachel Wathen and sophomore Haley Mellon also helped out the Bulldog defense tallying 17 and 13 digs.

Senior Nicole Motz and junior Marisa Dion set the tone for the offense with 29 and 25 assists respectively.

The match went back and forth as Adrian won the first set and Albion responded with a win in set two. The Bulldogs took a 2-1 match lead following a victory in set three but Albion forced a fifth and deciding set with a 25-20 victory in the fourth set.

The Bulldogs would put the game away in the fifth set winning 15-11 to take the victory.

The Bulldogs will hope to extend their current winning streak to three when they host Alma Wednesday September 30. Match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
