Adrian, Mich – The Adrian College women's volleyball finished 1-1 in the final day of the MIAA/HCAC Crossover tournament. The Bulldogs started the day by defeating Mount Saint Joseph University in three straight sets (25-20, 25-16, 25-23) before falling to Manchester University in five sets (23-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-19, 11-15).

Junior Margo Joubran led the Bulldogs offensively in the first match of the day against Mount Saint Joseph tallying 12 kills. She was helped by teammates freshman Olivia Welch, junior Sydney Martines and senior Jordan Brisson who each record five kills.

Senior Nicole Motz led the team in assists for the the fourth straight match with 28. Senior Rachel Wathen contributed defensively with 10 digs.

Adrian College women's volleyball finished the day with a match against Manchester University. The Bulldogs started slow giving up the first two sets 25-23 and 26-24. They would battle back to force a fifth and final set by winning the next two sets by a score 25-19, 25-19.

Welch recorded her season high in kills in the match with 25. She also tallied one service ace. Brisson also helped offensively recording nine kills and two service aces.  Motz anchored the offense by contributing 43 assists.

Wathen played a solid defensive game by tallying 26 digs, her season high.

The Bulldogs season continues Wednesday, September 9 when they host Trine in the MIAA opener. Match is set to start at 6:30 p.m.
