Box Score ASHLAND, Wis.--The nationally-ranked Adrian College men's hockey team won its Northern Collegiate Hockey Association road opener on Friday, pulling away from host Northland College in the third period to capture a 6-2 win.

= Sophomore netminder Kevin Entmaa made 25 saves.
= Sophomore Trevor Boyd led the offense with a pair of goals and an assist.
= Classmate Bryan Yim scored two points on a goal and assist.
= Defensemen Michael Hoy, a senior, and Tyler Currie, a freshman, each had two assists.
= Sophomore Chase Matson also enjoyed a multi-point performance with two assists.
= Freshman Matt McNair potted his first career collegiate goal to wrap up the scoring in the third period.
THE OPPOSITION
= Josh Racek led Northland with two points including a goal and assist.
= AJ Smith (27 saves) and Liam Conway (12) combined for 39 in the NC net. Smith took the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Leading 3-2 after 40 minutes, Adrian scored three goals in the third period to put the game away.
= The Bulldogs had balanced scoring as five different student-athletes found the back of the net and six more notched at least one point.
= Two of Adrian's three goals in the final stanza came on the power-play, including McNair's first career point in his third collegiate game.
= The teams traded goals in the first period as Boyd got it going at the 12:28 mark before Karson Kuntz equalized on the power play with 62 seconds left.
= Yim put Adrian back in the lead, 2-1, to open the second period, just 58 seconds in.
= Adrian senior Austin Hervey scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at the 14:11 mark of the second period.
= But 21 seconds later, Josh Racek again made it a one-goal game, 3-2, for the 'Jacks.
= The Bulldogs outshot Northland 45 to 27, including 14-7 in the first and 19-8 in the third.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= The Bulldogs now lead the all-time series 22-0 since the teams first met in Jan. 2008. Adrian is 9-0 on the Jacks' home ice, outscoring the hosts 55-12 in those games.
= Adrian has scored with the man-advantage in each of its first three contests and is 6-for-21 (28.6) on the power-play--10th in NCAA Division III.
