Box Score DULUTH, Minn.--The nationally No. 3-ranked Adrian College men's hockey team hung on for a 5-4 win over top-15 College of St. Scholastica in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association cross-divisional game on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= The visiting Bulldogs got goals from five different skaters: senor defensemen Adam Davies, Chris Leone, junior Austin Hervey, sophomore Taylor McCloy and freshman Trevor Boyd.
= Davies and Boyd staked Adrian to a 2-0 lead after the first period. The senior captain netted his fifth goal of the season 3 minutes and 57 seconds in, while the freshman potted his 13th at 13:10.
= Trailing 5-1 after 40 minutes, the Saints made a furious comeback attempt in the third period by scoring three times in a 12:15 span. Keegan Bruce on the power play (3:58) and then even-strength (13:48) and Ryan Cooper (16:13) got the goals.
= Adrian held a slim 37-33 shots on goal advantage.
= Sophomore Mathew Thompson and freshman Bryan Yim chipped in two assists apiece for Adrian. McCloy added an assist for a two-point night, too.
= The Saints pulled goalie Tyler Bruggeman (L, 12-6-3, 32 saves) with 41 seconds remaining to try to get the game-tying goal, but the Bulldogs held them at bay.
= Leone was credited with the game-winning goal with 36 seconds left in the second period. Adrian was working a 5-on-3 power-play when freshman Connor Armour passed the puck cross-ice to Leone at the right point, where the blueliner rifled a one-timer into the back of the net.
= Adrian freshman Kevin Entmaa made 29 saves to improve to 11-0 on the season--the only unbeaten goaltender in NCAA men's all-Divisions.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Per the NCHA, Adrian holds the tiebreaker over St. Norbert for the overall No. 1 seed in the Harris Cup playoffs if both teams end the regular season. A win Saturday for the Bulldogs will give them home-ice throughout they are alive in the tournament because of total goal differential in all NCHA game.
= With the win, Adrian moved to 8-3-1 on the road overall, 6-2-1 in conference.
= Armour increased his nation-leading assists total to 30.
THE OPPOSITION
= Keegan Bruce paced the CSS offense with a pair of goals. He now has 10 on the season.
= Dylan Nowakowski and Ryan Cooper also scored for the Saints, who made it 5-4 with 3:47 left in the game.
