ADRIAN, Mich. - The Bulldogs were handed their first in conference play on Wednesday night when they lost on the road to the defending MIAA Champion and No. 3 ranked Calvin Knights, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Calvin defeated Adrian in every set by double digits, winning 25-12, 25-13, 25-13

• The Bulldogs were held to a .000 hitting percentage in the first two sets and a -.087 in the final set

• Adrian largest lead, two points, came in the second set when Jenna Lodewyk had a ball handling error. The only other lead the Bulldogs would have in the match came in the third set when Adrian scored the first point of the set.

•  Jenai White led Adrian with four kills on the night

• Marisa Dion tallied 13 assists

THE OPPOSITION

• Calvin was led on offense by Anna Kamp with 12 kills

• Laura Danhoff also had 11 kills
