Delaware, Ohio - The Adrian College women's volleyball team split the two matches played on day two of the Bishop Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio. The Bulldogs swept Denison in the first match of the day (25-21, 25-21, 25-19). Adrian would drop the second match to host Ohio Wesleyan 3-1 (25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21).

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Adrian improved it's hitting percentage every set (.125, .256, .300) on the way to a sweep of Denison.

• The Bulldog offense was pushed by four Adrian athletes contributing multiple kills in the match.

• Three Bulldogs also contributed double digit digs.

TOP DOGS

• Margo Joubran (nine kills, 12 digs), Sydney Martines (eight kills, three digs), Cassadine Reed (seven kills, three block assists, one solo block) and Olivia Welch (five kills, 13 digs) were the offensive leaders for Adrian

• Marisa Dion paced the offense once again, earning 30 assists.

• Haley Mellon was the defensive leader with 21 digs.

THE OPPOSITION

• Sarah Bradley led the offense with nine kills

• Julia Miller led with 26 assists

• Leah Reinfranck had four digs

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Ohio Wesleyan took a 2-0 lead before Adrian battled back to win the third set

• The Bishops would put the Bulldogs away in the fourth set, 25-21

• Welch recorded her third double double this season with 10 kills and 11 digs

• Joubran and Reed also contributed seven kills

• Dion tallied 34 assists and two kills

• Mellon had 17 digs

• Savannah Monette also recorded double digit digs with 13

THE OPPOSITION

• Iris Anderson led the Bishops with 21 kills. She also contributed 10 digs

• Shannon Schlater tallied 48 assists

• N. Carmichael-Tanaka led defensively with 25 digs
