Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College women's basketball team had three scorers in double figures, and held Hope College to its third-lowest offensive output of the season, but it wasn't enough in a 67-55 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association loss to the nationally-ranked Flying Dutch on Saturday afternoon.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Freshman Shannon Garvey scored a team-high 15 points on 6-for-9 field goal shooting, including two 3-pointers. She also set a career high with seven rebounds to tie for the team lead.
= Freshman Sadia Johnson chipped in 11 points.
= Sophomore Ashley Morris scored 10 points before fouling out.
= Senior Paige Machnacki (5 points) came off the bench to tie Garvey with seven rebounds.
THE OPPOSITION
= Francesca Buchanan made 9 of 16 from the field for a game-high 20 points in just 26 minutes of action and she pulled down six rebounds.
= Madison Geers was the only other Flying Dutch with double figures with 12 points.
= Mandy Traversa (9 points) led all student-athletes with 13 rebounds and posted two blocked shots.
= Angelique Gaddy (7 points) had game highs of 10 assists and three steals to go along with four rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Hope held Adrian to a .349 (22-63) field goal percentage, and never trailed in the contest.
= The Flying Dutch used their size in the paint where they outscored the Bulldogs, 32-20.
= Hope also won the glass, outrebounding Adrian by a 44 to 35 count.
= The Flying Dutch darted to a 10-2 advantage and led 16-8 after the first quarter.
= After a Geers 3ball to make it 24-8 Hope early in the second quarter, Adrian went on an 11-5 run to get within 10 points, 29-19. The visitors led 31-19 going into the intermission.
= In the third quarter, Hope built a 39-26 lead before Adrian mounted a huge comeback to get within six, 39-33, after a Machnacki drained a three-pointer from the right wing with 3 minutes and 12 seconds to go. Johnson and Garvey also had buckets during the 7-0 run.
= The Flying Dutch, however, responded with an 11-2 run to go up 50-35 after three quarters. Geers and Traversa sparked it with four points each.
= In the fourth, Adrian was unable to get the deficit under single-digits and Hope had a lead as much as 17 points with 3:17 remaining.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= The Flying Dutch own a 41-game winning streak over the Bulldogs, dating back to the 1997-98 season. Hope leads the all-time series, 65-32, that began in 1961,
= Johnson leads Adrian with a 15.0 scoring average.
= Hope's top-three low-scoring games are a 56-50 win vs Wisconsin-Stevens Point (Dec. 17), 66-52 victory at Alma (Dec. 10) and 67 points to Adrian today as well as a 78-67 loss to St. Thomas-Minn. (Dec. 29).
= With two steals today, Brigitte Zavithsanos takes over the Bulldogs lead with 33. Junior college transfer Starnisha Harris has 32.
