HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian outshot Finlandia by a 33-17 count, including a 13-7 margin in the second period when it scored five goals.

= After Brothers scored off a scrum in the first period, Adrian erupted for five goals in the second to take a commanding 6-1 advantage. Thompson scored what proved to be the game-winner with 2 minutes and 47 seconds gone when Paquette passed the puck off the boards in his zone off a turnover and Thompson collected at center ice, using his speed to skate in on the goalie and wrist a low shot past Arnold's stickside just inside the left circle. About seven minutes later, Cusin scored his first goal as a Bulldog. Junior Brian Bachnak made it 4-0 before Thompson rifled a slap shot at the top of the right circle for his second tally of the game.

= Mitzel ruined Kelley's shutout bid at the 15:44 mark of the second period on the power play, with Blake Peavey credited with the assist.

= Thompson's third goal came later in the stanza, ignited a 5-0 run that also saw reigning D3hockey.com Team of the Week honoree Austin Rust score shorthanded and McCloy bookending goals around Post over the final 22 minutes.
