Box Score ALBION, Mich.--Junior college transfer Starnisha Harris and freshman Sadia Johnson each scored 20 points for Adrian College, but it wasn't enough as host Albion College won a pivotal 84-72 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon.

TOP 'DAWGS
- Coming off the bench, Harris completed her second career double-double in an Adrian uniform by hauling in a team-best 14 rebounds. She padded the statline with three assists and five steals. She also made 9 of 14 field goals.
- Johnson added three rebounds and three steals.
- Sophomore Ashley Morris added 13 points, six rebounds, a team-best five assists and she blocked two shots.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Britons produced a couple of 20-points scorers of their own today in Erin Nelson and Emily Bernas with 22 and 21, respectively. They combined to go 16-for-27 from the floor and 10-of-12 at the free throw line.
- Nelson also grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and Bernas had eight.
- Oreyana Curry (15 points) led all student-athletes with seven assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Albion made more free throws (19-26) than Adrian attempted (10-16).
- The score was close for much of the contest, which featured seven ties and eight lead changes.
- Albion held slim leads of 20-18 after the first quarter and 40-38 at halftime.
- A Morris 3ball with 6 minutes, 40 seconds left in the opening stanza gave Adrian its largest lead of 11-7.
- Johnson converted a layup with 7:46 remaining in the third to match that cushion for the Bulldogs, 48-44, as that would be their last lead.
- Leading 58-56 late in the third quarter, Albion began to take control taking six of the next eight points to go up 64-58 heading into the fourth.
- The Britons began the final quarter by scoring the first eight points to take control, 72-58.
- The Britons took advantage of 19 Adrian turnovers into 24 free points.
- Albion used its size in the paint to outscore Adrian, 50-28.
- Adrian held a 43-41 rebounding advantage, and second-chance points went 16-10 in favor of the hosts.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Bulldogs' three-game conference winning streak is snapped.
- Johnson, who has four 20-point games in a row, takes over sole possession of third place in MIAA scoring at 16.1 per game. She leads all conference freshmen in scoring.
- Albion sweeps the regular season from Adrian.
- Adrian (7-6) is still alive in the MIAA postseason race, trailing Albion and Calvin (both 9-4) by two games in the standing with three left to play.
- Harris leads the team with 40 steals and is tied for fourth in the MIAA at 2.0
