HOLLAND, Mich. - The Adrian College men's basketball team suffered a 95-77 loss at the hands of Hope on Wednesday night. Justin Webster led the Bulldogs with 20 points and five rebounds in the losing effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hope opened the game with a 5-0 run and would never look back. The Flying Dutchmen would eventually build a 20-7 lead with only 5:44 off the clock in the first half. Jeremy Kalonji cut the deficit to seven points with 10:47 remaining before halftime. Hope would push the lead back up to double digits, 44-25 after Dante Hawkins hit a three-point jumper with just over five minutes left before half.

The lead would increase in the second half (68-42) with 14:37 left in regulation before the Bulldogs used an 11-0 run to cut the lead to 15 points at the halfway mark of the second half. Adrian would slowly continue to trim away at the lead, eventually bringing the deficit down to only eight points with just under seven minutes remaining to play in the game. The Flying Dutchmen would use several small runs to rebuild and maintain the lead until the end of regulation.

TOP DOGS

 • Webster went 8-12 from the floor and 4-5 from the charity stripe to gain his team-leading points.

• Kalonji scored 13 points on 6-13 shooting. He also hauled in three rebounds, made three steals, a block, and an assist.

• Jordan Harris tallied 12 points, five rebounds, and a game-high five steals.

• Sam Colbert registered 11 points, three rebounds, and one block.

• Tre'Shon Heard led all Bulldogs with five assists while also helping with 10 points.

THE OPPOSITION

• Jason Beckman led Hope with 29 points. He also had five assists and three rebounds.

• Dante Hawkins scored 26 points and had a game-high seven assists.

• Dennis Towns led all players with seven rebounds.

• Preston Granger and Teddy Ray had 16 and 13 points respectively.
