Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Adrian College women's volleyball team took down Capital on Saturday night (Sep.1) to earn a split in the Capital/Otterbein Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adrian fell behind midway through the first set, 12-7, but were able to battle back and took the set 25-18.
Capital took an early lead in the second set and never looked back, leading the whole time on the way to a 25-19 set win to draw the match even at one set.
The Bulldogs were in the driver's seat in set three, having a lead of 20-12 at one point. The Crusaders mounted a comeback but Adrian was able to hold them off to win the set 25-20.
Adrian took control again in the fourth set and were able to get a 25-19 win to put the game away.
TOP DOGS
• Senior Olivia Welch picked up 20 kills to lead the team for the second straight game, while also adding 14 digs.
• Sophomore Karlee Techentin led the team in digs with 21 on the night.
• Sophomore Liz Susitko continued to provide assists, leading the team with 30 helpers and adding nine kills.
THE OPPOSITION
• Olivia Hale led the Capital offense with 11 kills and had 12 sigs.
• Jenay Kocisis led the Crusaders with 23 assists and contributed four kills.
• Isabel Jimenez had 18 digs and 13 assists in a well-rounded game.
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs will travel to Hiram on Tuesday, Sep. 4 for a 6:30 p.m. matchup with the Terriers.
