TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Adrian College cross country teams traveled to Toledo, Ohio for a race hosted by Lourdes University. The men's team grabbed a first place finish with 35 team points, and the women's team placed fifth with 110 team points.
The men's team wiped the competition with four top-10 finishes. The Bulldogs were led by
Robert Diebold who placed first with a time of 27:05.47. Wet running conditions got the best of
Brett Carlisle as he slipped down a hill, but recovered and came back to place fifth with a time of 28:15.72.
Caleb Billings finished eighth with a time of 28.46.96 followed by a ninth place finish from
Clayton Lynch at 29:10.46.
On the women's side,
Emme Koutz ran a 20:35.80 to place seventh and lead the Bulldogs.
Sydney Feekings followed with a 21:57.36 to place 16th, and
Sydney Wilkie finished 22nd with a 22.26.07. Also in the mix was
Mallory Bowker (23:10.74) and
Bailey Mruzik (23:31.39).
The Bulldogs return to action on Friday, October 29 in the MIAA Championships in Notre Dame, Indiana hosted by St. Mary's College (Ind.)
