ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's soccer team hosted the Alma College Scots at Docking Stadium for an MIAA contest. The Bulldogs and Scots battled all 90 minutes, but Alma pulled ahead late in the match to come away with the victory.
Adrian had a pair of scoring opportunities in first nine minutes of the game when
David Smith landed a shot on goal, but the Alma goaltender made the save.
Robbie Precious broke free for a short breakaway, but shot went wide to keep the match at 0-0. Alma and Adrian went into the break tied at 0-0.
Alma started the second half with a pair of shorts inside the box, but
Alex Brock was there to record the saves. After a back-and-forth battle for the first 30 minutes of the second half, the Scots scored in the 74th minute to break the silence and grab the lead. The Bulldogs had an opportunity on a cross to
Justin Sarka, but the shot went wide. The Scots held on to grab the 1-0 win.
Alma finished with 15 shots with nine on goal while the Bulldogs finished with 11 shots and five on goal. Brock recorded eight save in goal for the Adrian.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:00 PM and will honor their seinor class before the season finale against Olivet College.
