HOLLAND, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team traveled to Hope College to take on the Flying Dutchman in the 2021 MIAA opener. Adrian dropped Tuesday's contest to Hope by a score of 3-1 to fall to 0-1 in MIAA play.

It was all defense early in the game as the match sat at 0-0 for the first 35 minutes. Hope broke the silence and scored to lead 1-0 and take the advantage into the half. Hope grabbed a quick goal in the first minute of the second half to extend the lead, followed by another goal in the 71^st minute.

The Bulldogs put themselves on the board in the 84^th minute on a goal from Justin Sarka to bring the score to 3-1, and finish the match. The lone Adrian goal was Sarka's fourth of the season.

The Bulldogs recorded six shots with two on goal during Tuesday's match. Alex Brock finished the night with 12 saves.

Adrian will return to action on Saturday, October 9 at home against MIAA opponent Calvin University. Start time is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
