De'Ovion Price Drops 19 in Debut as Men's Basketball Falls to Anderson, 75-65

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's basketball team kicked off its season at home against Anderson University from Indiana. The Bulldogs started the scoring as Price found Connor Pelham on a back door cut for a quick dunk on the first possession of the game. Anderson came back and took a 9-2 lead, but the Bulldogs responded with a 12-2 run to lead 14-11. Anderson retied the game at 18-18 with just under nine minutes to play in the first half and ended up on a run to jump up 31-23. After the Ravens lead by ten again, Pelham made a layup followed by a 3-pointer from Price off a turnover to lead by five. Time was not on Adrian's side as they were forced to foul late giving the Ravens points from the free-throw line to with 75-65.

Price led the Bulldogs with 19 points followed by 12 from freshman Andrew Larson. Pelham added a double-double on the night with 12 points and ten rebounds. Watkins came off the bench scoring nine of the team's 13 points off the bench.
