Women's Hockey Extends Shutout Streak; Defeats Marian 4-0

FOND du LAC, WI. - On Friday evening, the Adrian women's hockey utilized a three-goal third period to pull away from Marian University in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opener for both squads.

After entering the final frame with a mere 1-0 advantage, the Bulldogs ignited for a trio of insurance goals to put the contest well out of the Sabres' reach.

Jocelin Hudanish opened the scoring the latter stages of the first period, carrying the puck into the slot before snipping a shot past the Marian netminder.

In the second period, the Bulldogs continued to own their opposition on the shot chart, muscling 31 chances after 40 minutes compared to the Sabres' six.

Despite the heavy artillery firing in the second twenty minutes, the 'Dogs would have to sit through one more intermission before lighting the lamp a second time.

The visitors needed only two and-a-half minutes to find the back of the net in the third period, doubling their lead on a goal by Abbie Grias.

Brooke Schembri and Karmen Anderson provided Adrian with its final two tallies, while Jaden Rilei, Jessica VonRuden, Sydney Daversa, Reaghan Pietrowski, Schembri and Hudanish each added one assist each to round out the black and gold's scoring for the evening.

Between the pipes, Denisa Jandova turned in her second-straight, and 22nd career shutout performance, stopping all 13 shots faced.

The Bulldogs will look to make it a perfect weekend in Wisconsin when they return to the Blue Line Family Ice Center for a 1 p.m. ET puck-drop on Saturday afternoon.
