CHARLOTTE, Mich. -- The Adrian College cross country team traveled to Charlotte, Michigan to open the season at the Olivet Invite. The Bulldogs totaled three top-5 finishes with two coming from the men's team, and one coming from the women's team.
Robert Diebold led Adrian with a second play finish running a 15:58 in the men's 5k run.
Brett Carlisle followed behind with a time of 16:05 finishing third in the race.
Caleb Billings placed 21st with a time of 17:07 followed by
Michael Spurio at 24th with a 17:16.
Emme Koutz led the way for the women's team placing third in the women's 5k with a time of 19:54.
Sydney Wilkie placed in the top-15 with a time of 20:39 followed by
Sydney Feekings in 26th at 21:35.
Bailey Mruzik rounded out the top-4 four Adrian placing 36th while running a 22:50.
The Bulldogs return to action at the Willow Metropark on Friday, September 10 hosted by Wayne State University. The women's race will begin at 5:30 PM and the men will begin at 6:15 PM.
