NEW BOSTON, Mich. - The Adrian cross country team completed the September portion of their 2021 schedule on Friday afternoon, competing in Warrior Challenge, hosted by Wayne State University.
The Bulldog women placed 5th with a final team score of 151, while the men raced to a 7th place finish with an overall team score of 171.
Emme Koutz's team-leading time of 24:38.7 was good enough for 24th overall in the field.
Sydney Feekings turned in a time of 27.04.3 for 28th place, wiping nearly two seconds off her final time for the same event two seasons ago.
As for the men,
Brett Carlisle paced Adrian with a time of 26:44.9, ranking 23rd among the men's field. Not far behind was his teammate
Robert Diebold, who ran the course with a time of 26:49.7.
Like Feekings, both Carlisle and Diebold saw significant improvement on the marks from the 2019 Warrior Challenge.
The locals are off the trails until the first of October when they visit Lansing, Michigan and Grand Woods Park.
