SANDUSKY, Ohio -- The Adrian College women's volleyball team took on the College of Wooster on Friday night in it's first match at the Battle at the Point. The Bulldogs lost 3-1 dropping the first two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-10 which was later followed by a 25-13 loss in the fourth set. Adrian went down fighting as they grabbed set three by a score of 25-23.Â
In set one, the Bulldogs totaled 39 attacks with eight kills and seven errors while Wooster only committed three errors. Adrian struggled in the second set as they only compiled six kills while Wooster totaled 13 with only two errors.Â
The Bulldogs showed signs of life in the third set as they put together an attack percentage of .279 with 17 kills and only five errors. The Bulldogs fell in the fourth set as Wooster collected 16 kills on one error while Adrian collected nine kills with six errors.
Ayden Cribbs and
Blaire Weiman finished the match with eight kills each followed by seven kills from
Destiny Johnson and five from
Katelyn Bergman.
Hailey Farrell finished with a team-high 21 assists whileÂ
Mya Minjares finished with 15 digs.Â
Adrian returns to the court on Saturday in the final day at the Battle at the Point and will take on Hiram College and Depauw University. The first match is scheduled for 10:30 PM.
