TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Adrian College men's soccer team traveled to Ohio to take on the Heidelberg Student Princes in it's final match before MIAA conference play. The Bulldogs didn't quit after fall behind 2-0, and battled back to come away with a 3-2 victory on the road.Â
Heidelberg started the match with a pair of early goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. In the 33rd minute,
Braiden Hamilton netted an unassisted goal to put Adrian on the board. Early in the second half,
Justin Sarka scored his third goal of the season to tie the match 2-2. The Bulldogs held on to the momentum as Trisitian Slagle scored the game winner in the 74th minute with an assist from
Robbie Precious.
Adrian totaled ten shots with six on goal while collecting five corner kicks.
Jackson Vacca spent all 90 minute in goal facing nine shots on goal and recording seven saves. The Bulldogs' shots on goal came from Slagle, Sarka, Hamilton, Precious, and
David Smith.
Adrian will move on to conference play starting on Tuesday, October 5 at 7:00 PM on the road as they take on Hope College.
