ADA, Ohio - The Adrian track and field team ventured south to Ohio Northern University on Friday evening to compete in the third annual Larry Cole Invitational. The Bulldogs came away with seven first-place efforts and three different meet records en route to fourth-place finishes for both the men and women's team.

Men's Highlights

Derek Plitt set meet records in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash. The senior ran a top-time of 22.56 in the latter race, while posting a first-place run of 6.96 in the shorter of the two.
- The 4x200-meter relay team of Plitt,
Caleb Ellis,
Asher Cousino and
Nolan Breithaupt also set a new meet-best time on Friday evening, turning in a winning time of 1:32.77.

Weston Kvalevog captured top honors in both the 400-meter dash (52.41) and the high jump (1.92 meters).
- Freshman Breithaupt added an individual first-place effort in the long jump, leaping 6.56 meters.

Asher Cousino and Josh Light finished second and third, respectively in the 60-meter hurdles, placing within .05 seconds of each other.
- Ellis ran the second-best time in the 400-meter dash at 52:47, contributing eight points to the Bulldogs' final team score.
- In the pole vault,
Cameron Overmyer successfully soared 4.25 meters for a second-place finish.
- The 4x400 team of Ellis, Kvalevog, Cousino and
Brendan Baker added eight team points with a second-place performance, coming in only 0.12 behind Ohio Northern's A-relay team. Both teams topped the meet record set in 2020, with Adrian running a 3:30.56.

Women's Highlights

Rylea Mougrabi sprinted to first and second-place finishes, respectively, in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. The freshman posted a meet-high time of 27.94 in the shorter race of the two, while closing with a 1:05.93 time in the quarter-mile.
- In the high jump, Caley Beaudoin came up with a distance of 1.61 meters, only 0.03 shy of first-place.

Bryanna Carey tossed a meet second-best 11.00 meters in the shot put, garnering eight points for the black and gold.
- The 4x400 quartet of Mougrabi,
Emme Koutz,
Angie Zefi and
Ellen Zentera ran a time of 4:32.49 for second-place.
