HILLSDALE, Mich. - At the Margot V. Bierman Athletic Center, the Adrian track and field team garnered two first-place finishes and a new school record at the 2022 Wide Track Classic, hosted by Hillsdale College.
Out of ten teams, the men closed the afternoon in fifth overall with 29.5 points, while the women ended up in ninth in their competition's nine-team field with nine points.

Women's Highlights

Cailey Beaudoin set an Adrian College indoor record with a 5-foot, 4.5-inch effort in the high jump. The sophomore's mark tops the previous highest jump of 5-foot, 3.75-inches, which was set on February 1, 2013 by Emily Borup and Sarah Luma.

Emme Koutz ran a third-best time of 2:31.75 in the 800-meter run.

Ti Vanhorn hit a personal-record in the weight throw, moving into tenth-place in the MIAA with a distance of 12.41 meters.

Men's Highlights

Derek Plitt captured top honors in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash for the second consecutive week. The senior ran a 22.52 in the latter of the two events, while posting a conference-best time of 6.92 in the shorter race of the two.

Weston Kvalevog scored fifth-place finishes in the high jump (6'2.75") and the 400-meter dash (52.58).

Joshua Light placed inside the top four of the 60-meter hurdles for the second-straight week, dashing a time of 8.84 for fourth-place.

Nolan Breithaupt leaped into a tie for third-place in the long jump, soaring 6.03 meters.

Cameron Overmyer skyed 4.12 meters in the pole vault, which locked up fourth-place for the freshman.
