BOSTON, Mass. -- The Adrian Men's Rowing Team raced their way to an automatic requalification spot at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday. With 792 crews racing over the course of the weekend, the Head of the Charles is one of the biggest races in the world and this was just Adrian's second time competing, after debuting in 2021. 
 
Racing in fast conditions which saw multiple course records broken, Adrian put forth an aggressive performance to take 20th spot of 41 crews in the Collegiate Eight, improving on last year's 27th position and securing an automatic qualification spot for 2023's regatta. The race also saw them best conference rivals Bucknell by just 0.3 seconds, and finish as the 8th fastest Division 3 crew of the day. Coxswain Sam Wyzlic expertly navigated the tricky, winding course with tight corners and great situational awareness as many other crews had incidents over the course of the weekend.
 
"Today was a great way to finish out the Fall and we're very proud to have secured qualification for 2023's regatta today." Said Head Coach Sam Pratt, "we're already excited to see what we can do come the Spring after such a successful season."
 
The Bulldogs have finished racing for the Fall, but Will return to action in the Spring.
